I’ve been working behind-the-scenes on more merch for XPLORIST and the guys over at American Lictor did not disappoint. Inspired directly from my field work and photographs, I proudly present the “Explore More” and “Roam Free” t-shirts!

This one is personal.

Late last year I came face to face with the largest black bear I've ever encountered in Florida, a lone male moving through the heart of Fakahatchee Strand. It's the kind of encounter that stays with you long after you've left the swamp.

There's something quietly inspiring about watching a large lumbering animal move freely through a landscape that still belongs to it. That feeling is what the Roam Free tee is built around.

This one is at the heart of everything XPLORIST was built on.

“Explore More” isn't just a phrase. It's the reason I pick up a camera, paddle into the backcountry before sunrise, and spend hours in a marsh waiting for something most people will never slow down enough to see. It's a reminder to step outside, touch grass, and pay attention to what's living in your own backyard.

The river otter felt like the only right choice for this design. Curious, fearless, and endlessly entertaining, it's one of my favorite animals to photograph and one that embodies the spirit of this brand better than almost anything else I've encountered in the field. Every otter I've ever come across has approached me first. That kind of curiosity is both endearing and something worth wearing.
